Australia Day

It's Australia Day again.

I feel very sentimental every time I hear the Qantas's 'I still Call Australia home' song. And today I heard it again at the Australian Open, I could feel my goosebumps and tears rolling down my eyes. Silly hey! Being born and growing up in Hong Kong, but i have never felt like this for Hong Kong. This is so weird. Maybe this is the place for me to be. Or maybe the AD agency for Qantas did a exceptional job. (wink wink)

US trip 2007

Two more days and I will be back to Sydney again! I am a bit home sick. I have shopped out and I am sick of American burgers, iced tea, ribs and chips.

Went to Universal Studio today. We didn't get there until 11.30. Luckily, there were not a lot of people in the park and the maximum queue time was only 30 minutes. We managed to do most of the rides except for the Water World. Oh well, I will do that next time when I go back.

The plan was to go to Disneyland tomorrow, but since my last disappointing experience at the DisneyWorld, I think I would rather explore Downtown all by myself. So I will be sleeping in, enjoy my breakfast at Beverly Hills and then bus to Downtown tomorrow.

For some reason, I am looking forward to my all by myself getting lost in LA.

4th year anniversary

I can't believe I have been in DA for 4 years already! Time does fly, especially in last year. It's been so fun travelling around the Asia developing a new business.

I have changed a lot in the past 4 years. Working has made me mature and I have learnt to take control of the situation. Most importantly, I have learnt to speak up and say NO in appropriate time. Really have to thank my mentor for that!

It's Sunday, no actually Monday morning at 12.17. I can finally spend some time on my own thinking about what my plan is for the next 3 weeks. I have to plan for my trip to US in 2 weeks time. YAY!!! I am going to Las Vegas, San Francsico (just for 6 hour transit though) and Los Angeles. There are so much to do in Las Vegas and the Mandalay Bay Resort that we are staying looks really nice. I am sure Julie-Anne and I will have a good time there.

I am also really excited about the conference. This time, I am going to bring back a lot of interesting business ideas. Now that I am doing more and more business development work, I can feel I am getting closer and closer to the big picture - the real world. (I have been nurturing in the green house in the past 4 years!!!) Maybe it's time to leave the nest and fly with my own wings.

EXCITED!!!

So much is happening these days that I don't have much time to update xanga. (well i haven't been actively updating this blog anyway).

I am flying to Hong Kong tomorrow morning, like early morning... as in 7.35am and it's 2.15am already, so I don't think i will sleep tonight, just in case i miss my flight tomorrow morning. Hopefully I can sleep for the whole 9 hours tomorrow... ha.. i doubt it.

I had this great idea when we were on a work-related trip two years ago. After thorough consideration with my manager, we decided to sell this idea to this organisation. After 2 years of negotiating, we have finally got the contract signed today!

Apart from what we are proposing, the client actually wants us to apply our approach to other part of their business.

You've got to love what you are doing. If you enjoy what you are doing, then you will be good at it and it will make you rich.
